Peer review, editorial decisions, grant outcomes, and publication decisions are made independently by external venues, reviewers, editors, funders, and committees. Research support, not authorship. Teams engagements provide workflow infrastructure, editorial assistance, methodological review, templates, and operational support. PaperGuru does not become an author, inventor, investigator, guarantor, or research sponsor unless an executed agreement says otherwise. Substantive research contributions and authorship decisions remain with the customer and its researchers.
Academic integrity remains the customer's responsibility. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their researchers' work complies with applicable institutional, employer, funder, publisher, and venue policies on authorship, academic integrity, plagiarism, dual submission, human subjects, data use, large language model use, and external assistance.
Disclosure and policy compliance. Some venues, journals, funders, employers, or institutions require disclosure of editorial assistance, AI usage, third-party tooling, or external support. PaperGuru can help identify typical disclosure considerations, but the customer and its researchers are responsible for making accurate and complete disclosures.
Data, deployment, and residency. Available deployment models, data residency, retention, access controls, audit logs, SSO, SCIM, and private-network options depend on the executed agreement and implementation plan. Page-level descriptions are examples of typical capabilities, not commitments for every customer environment.
Confidentiality & intellectual property. Confidentiality obligations, data handling, and intellectual property rights are governed by the relevant signed agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, PaperGuru does not claim ownership of customer research data, manuscripts, models, methods, inventions, or institutional materials uploaded or processed through the service.
Independent service. PaperGuru.AI is an independent service provider. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any conference, journal, professional society, publisher, university, hospital, funder, or government agency unless a signed agreement expressly states otherwise.
Executed agreements control. Teams contracts are governed by a separate Master Services Agreement, statement of work, data processing agreement, business associate agreement, or equivalent signed terms where applicable. If this page conflicts with an executed agreement, the executed agreement controls.
